Let’s talk about the most dreaded day of the year for us single ladies. To be quite honest we give this holiday WAY TOO MUCH power in our society. To the ladies who are in a relationship or married: if you are with a man who is honorable and chivalrous, he will send you all of this affectionate/cheesy stuff all year around BECAUSE HE LOVES YOU ALL THE TIME not just this one day. To the ladies who are single: it is just another day of the year; life continues, you still have to work, and all of your favorite tv dramas are still going to air at their regular time. Let’s be honest the real celebration of Valentines Day is the day after when all chocolates and teddy bears are 75% off am I right?!

For the sake of fashion, dressing up for Valentines Day is a day when you can whip out some of your favorite girly pieces! And I have to admit that it’s fun to do this because I am a very girly girl. So today’s outfit is inspired by all of the flowers sent out on Valentines day. I bought these Anthropologie pants at least four years ago, and though they may be the most eccentric pair I own, they also are the most comfortable and versatile. I paired it with my bright yellow cashmere pull-over from J.Crew, Calvin Klein flats, and my favorite Michael Kors wristlet! This outfit makes me feel fun and flirty without feeling too cheesy and traditional for Valentines Day. So in conclusion, I encourage you girls to do your own thing and make this Valentines Day the best one to date! Because at the end of the day it’s up to you to make each day a bright one!
