Today’s Dream: The Maxi Dress

So there is much debate about if a maxi dress is still “in style” or if it’s still considered one’s “saving grace.” I am here to tell you, in my opinion, that as long as YOU love them, they will always be “in style!” Let’s face it, one of the biggest reasons for wearing a maxi dress is so that you don’t have to shave your legs (much to your significant other’s dismay), but also because it’s a whole outfit in one and all you have left to do is accessorize! This dress is one of my favorite party dresses and I’m in love with all of the colors in it! Normally I don’t wear a tribal print but how can you not love the design in this dress?

My top 5 rules for buying maxi dresses:

1. Get at least one basic casual one from Target (comfortable, easy, and casual) for running errands.

2. Look for a color or print that does not currently reside in your closet currently.

3. If it’s “too long” then either get it hemmed or wear your tallest heels (the higher the heel, the closer to God right?)

4. Don’t stress about the price tag, so many retailers carry this dress that all you really need to do is google it!

5. Top best accessories to wear with maxi dresses are a belt, hat, and either long dangle earrings or a long pendant necklace.
