Today's Dream: Confessions of a beauty product hoarder.
One thing you should know about me is that I LOVE hair products, makeup, and skin care almost as much as I love sequins and bows. I frequently post about these things on my Instagram so now I am here to share all of my recent favorites and reviews!
Starting with the Kenra hair products (below). I recently hosted my first instagram loop giveaway with the help of some of my favorite bloggers, photographers, and stylists! These products were a part of our giveaway because they work magic on your hair! On top of them smelling as amazing as they do, they transform your hair into photo worthy magic. You can purchase these products from your hairdresser or at ULTA!

Next up is the limited edition MAC Cosmetics Cinderella lipgloss. I am a sucker for anything Cinderella because she's my favorite princess (how can you not love a fairytale based on a pair of shoes that changed a young girl's life?)! MAC came out with this collection in honor of the new live action Cinderella movie (comes out September 15th, not that I'm not keeping track or anything...). I am already a huge fan of MAC's lip line of magic so as soon as this collection hit the online store I HAD to have it! It has been sold out for some time now, but I encourage you to sign up for their emails to see their latest and greatest collections and collaborations!

Birchbox. Enough said right?....Haven't heard of it maybe? Meet my latest addiction. Birchbox is a $10 monthly box of five sample size goodies. They send members everything from skin care to tea for you to try and discover before you have to buy it! The best part? You earn points by reviewing the samples, sharing your box to social media, and or by referring friends. You are able to use these points to purchase the real size of anything in the Birchbox shop! Sometimes I pay as little as $10 for an entire makeup brush set when I apply my points to my purchase! It is the most fun I've had testing products ever! The next three images are what some of the boxes look like and what my favorites from each box were! Check out their website here!

Stila Cosmetics makes one of the best liquid lipsticks around. I discovered them through Birchbox and became obsessed. You know those commercials where the model is showing off when she uses a napkin to "touch" her fresh coat of lipgloss? You sit there thinking "Yeah right." Well I'm here to tell you that I actually put Stila to the napkin test and IT PASSED. I know, I almost didn't believe it either. Though it doesn't pass the kiss test (your man will still end up wearing it if he kisses you with it on), I can wear this to work and go out at night with only ONE application and ONE touch up at night! PRAISE DA LORD WE ARE SAVED. Finally, a product I can rely on who backs me up when I refer people to it. You can purchase this trio here or shop the rest of the colors here!

Now, may I introduce you to the broke girl's guide to richly colored lipgloss featuring Sephora. Meet Sephora's Luster Matte Long-Wear Lip Color, the inexpensive ($16) lipgloss that has a lot to offer. A tiny bit goes such a long way that even if you think "GIRL, I am not made out of money!" You won't have to replace this thing for a long time so it's worth the "investment." A friend of mine turned my head toward this delightful product (thank you Rachel!) and I have been hooked ever since. If you want to see for yourself, Sephora allows you to try it before you buy it so that you can prove my theory! If you are already convinced, you can shop all of the colors here!

Now if liquid lipstick seems a little too scary for you, and you are the more traditional type of gal, here is my favorite line of lipsticks: Albeit by Anthropologie. This lightweight/high pigmented lipstick is also moisturizing! The texture leaves a cross between a creamy and matte finish so it is long lasting. As always, touch ups are necessary, but your lips won't dry out! If you would like to try them out, Anthropologie stores have samples for you to try but you can also purchase them online here!

Finally, I show you what foundation I wear all day, every day, and my favorite shade of nail lacquer! Fair warning, I love to wear makeup so I am not afraid of heavier foundations and powders which is what these are (in comparison to other versions of foundation, both by MAC and competing beauty lines). MAC's Studio Fix foundation helps give me that even and smooth skin tone in all of my pictures. This bronzer is the best contouring tool I have besides blush. I am addicted to it!
On to the nail polish. Butter London has some of the cutest shades and it is easily the best company as far as more expensive ($15) polishes go. I've tried Chanel and YSL but I'm here to tell you that just because it has the iconic symbol doesn't mean it's worth $30! Those brands definitely don't last as long as Butter, Essy, or OPI! So if you want to try something more refined than just Essy Butter is a great place to start! With so many rich choices, it's fun to explore new mani options!

That's all I have for today darlings, I hope you enjoyed my beauty pep talk! I'll chat with you again soon!
xoxo,
The Darling Dreamer
